Every person has a different experience with different type of skin problem. Some stops using soap for their acne and pimple problem and for some this remedy make the things go worse...

I agree that some medications can be harmful, but others work wonders for the skin when nothing else works. Perhaps a less powerful treatment is generally preferred. I myself have been using the Murad Acne Complex Kit to reduce blemishes and my skin has never looked better. I believe it’s smart to start with over-the-counter products and other non-prescription remedies before resorting to antibiotics and treatments like Accutane. The side effects can be more traumatic than the acne itself.

It is a myth that if you change your diet you will have good skin. I had acne for 10 years, and only now has it cleared with medication. Really, medication is the only thing that works for ’real’ acne! I tried every diet possible, tried all sorts of herbal drinks, and facial treatments, but with no results for the better. 6 months ago i took Roaccutane and now i have perfect skin.
It is easy for people who have never had acne to say not to take medication because it is bad. They don’t realise the demoralising effect of acne, and the effect on your self confidence.
Also, the more you wash your face the worse the acne gets, because it causes the glands to produce more oil. So don’t over wash! Twice a day is enough.
