This is another clever place to get yourself inked. The tattoo is made under the foot- the place is rarely exposed to everyone. You can make any design, which you love to be inked with, but was afraid what others will think of it. This devil is...

I can’t believe you’d post this. Tattoos on the bottom of feet are possibly the WORST place to get tattooed. They never heal beacuse a tattoo needs a few days t ”breathe”, they rub right off because you’re always walking, and there is no point in getting a tattoo if you’re just going to hide it.

Ya... thats right but you cannot perdict anyone’s mind... :)
There are some places that are not wise to get tattooed and this is one of them. The other comment (sep 18) is right, they do not heal properly, and the ink will often run/bleed leaving a blob. The individuals body type, how they take care of it, and the tattoo artist all play a part on this but it is not a good idea.

a BAD idea, you walk so you cant let it heal itself slowly,
and the skin under the foot is renewing itself everyday, so the tattos get blurry!!!

Any idea how old the tattoo in the photo is?
I have been told that they never last very long.

I would guess that as long as you didn’t get a very detailed tattoo that the effects would be less noticeable. Obviously it is going to blur and new skin will grow over it but depending on the tattoo it could be a good idea. Bold tribal art might work well on the bottom.

I got a tattoo under my foot about four weeks ago, simple writing, the lettering in the arch is faded a bitt and the lettering thats where the arch meet the floor is almost compleatly gone. I took realy good care of it, and kept my weight of my foot for 7 days and it is still disapering fast. I have other tattos, but nothing could compare to the pain having one done under my foot. would not recomend as it does not last!!!! hope this helps, x
